As savvy shoppers will be aware, November is becoming one of the best months of the year to find a bargain at online sales. Many retailers have their biggest sales of the year to encourage shoppers to place their orders for delivery well before Christmas.

Of course, many SchoolBuy partners will be participating in these sales events which means you can take advantage of the great discounts on offer and support your favourite school at the same time. It won’t cost you anything extra and you can shop knowing that not only are you getting a fantastic deal, but your nominated school is also benefiting from your purchase.

Here are the not-to-be-missed sales events coming up in November:

Singles’ Day (11 November)

The opportunities to save begin on 11 November with Singles’ Day.  Though still not that big in Australia, this ecommerce extravaganza is huge overseas (where literally billions of dollars are spent on online shopping in just 24 hours). Recognising the popularity of these sales, Australian retailers are increasingly creating special offers for the day or starting their Click Frenzy sales a day early.

Click Frenzy (12-13 November)

Click Frenzy officially begins at 7pm AEDT on Tuesday, 12 November and lasts for 24 hours but many of the sales will start earlier that day. This annual event has gone from strength to strength since it started in 2012 and is now probably one of the biggest online sales events in Australia. Every year, a number of our SchoolBuy retailers get involved as official partners, with others simply running their own sales at the same time.

As a tip, Click Frenzy may be a good time to purchase new shoes as a number of footwear retailers have big sales planned (with savings of up to 60% in some cases).

Black Friday Weekend (29 Nov-1 Dec)

Black Friday started in the USA as a massive day of retail sales following their Thanksgiving holiday. With the growing popularity of online shopping, these sales have now become a global event with many Aussie online retailers offering discounts not just on the Friday but throughout the weekend. Last year, the success of these sales was clearly evident with Australian monthly online retail turnover for November and December breaking all previous records for those months – which means a lot of people found a bargain!

Cyber Monday (2 Dec)

Many of the Black Friday sales will continue over the weekend and into Cyber Monday. The majority of our retail partners will be offering savings of 15% to 40% sitewide which can really add up if you are purchasing Christmas gifts or summer fashion.  Of course, there will still be deals around leading up to Christmas but if you get in early, you can make savings and then relax knowing the festive shopping is taken care of and will be delivered in plenty of time without the last minute rush. Plus, there is also the bonus of knowing your purchases will benefit a good cause.

The other thing to remember is that to make your purchase count for your chosen school, you do need to visit www.schoolbuy.com.au and nominate a school before you shop online.  The SchoolBuy website is also where you will find some of the coupon codes you may need to make the savings.

P.S. Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages for more details of individual sales and special offers as they come to hand.
